The designers of the first 990 were tasked with creating the single best running shoe on the market. The MADE in USA 990v6 embraces this original mandate, with a series of performance-inspired updates. Particularly in this design, the silver caging present on these sets the retro appeal tone on the interior. It doesn’t take up that section by itself, though, with the orange “Wheat” shade painting the mesh foundation at the very core. Towards the top, suede panels that run the length of the laces and the mudguard lend a plush, luxury premium streetwear atmosphere. The addition of FuelCell and ENCAP midsole cushioning means that the evolution of the 990 can be felt as much as it can be seen.
