Melton Wool Award Jacket - Black Mix

This Award Jacket is made from a melton wool blend and is made using a rare type of double weave in which only the warp threads are doubled. The surface texture has depth due to the use of several different coloured threads woven on a rapier loom. In order to give this award jacket an early 1900s feel, it has been washed to increase softness. The ribs on the neck, cuffs, and hem are made of acrylic wool, which has a dry, rough look. As with the body material, multiple threads are combined to create a deep look. Insulated with polyester, the placket is fastened with snap buttons and finished with D-shaped hand pockets as well as two internal pockets.
