0605-SA SASIKO "Going to Battle" 18oz Selvedge Denim - Natural Tapered

The 0605-SA from MOMOTARO is made using the brand's Japanese 18oz selvedge denim. Irregularly thick Zimbabwe cotton yarns are woven under low tension on vintage looms to create a richly textured denim. It is heavy and high-grade, but it will become very soft and comfortable as you wear it. The rich indigo hue, the unique texture of the fabric, the going-to-battle stripes of SASHIKO fabric and the iconic pink inseam make Momotaro's signature instantly recognizable. The leather patch is made of indigo leather which will also fade with wear. The "Going to Battle" stripes, usually printed, are instead featured here in a SASHIKO fabric which are dyed with indigo. Thanks to its unevenness, they will also fade in a unique way. Loaded with other signature MOMOTARO details, including the pink selvedge and inseam, which serve as an homage to the peach in the original "Momotaro" folktale. The "Going to Battle" stripes are a symbol of Japanese tradition representing honour and strength. The warrior stripes also represent the flag carried by "Momotaro" in the folklore story.

MOMOTARO's "Natural Tapered" fit is a roomy fit in the top block with a healthy taper from the knee down. The denim has a high rise, roomy thighs, and a strong taper.

Important Note: Every denim product will lose colour. This is due to the special indigo dying process. After several washes, the losing of colour will be less and will stop over time. Some helpful advise:

• When washing, close the zipper and fasten all buttons and always turn the jeans inside out. Wash separately. When drying, hang the jeans (preferabbly in shade) inside out and let the jeans dry naturally.
• Pay attention when you sit on light surfaces
• Be careful with wearing light clothes (i.e. underwear). Body warmth may cause denim to fade out
