2016 Holiday Gift Guide

2016 Holiday Gift Guide

Even the most menswear-minded man can be a tricky guy to buy for during the holiday season. If he’s been paying any attention to us all year, he likely already has a wardrobe full of well-appointed staples, and if there’s a gap to plug, chances are he’s already got an idea of what he wants or has bought it himself. Luckily, we've pulled together some ideas for the well-dressed guys on your list. Whether shopping for a friend, brother, or boss; take it from us, here are a few things he'll actually want. And if you really can't decide, then there are always our Gift Cards to save the day.

Secret Santa/Kris Kringle - This is tough since the gift likely can't get to personal. But how does one stand out in a workplace full of drab clothing? Accessories of course. Anonymous Ism creates superior quality and distinctive socks that will instantly take his sock game to the next level. Alternatively, a great plaid scarf from Bon Vivant is the ultimate cold-weather accessory.

Brother: Most men don’t think they need gloves, which is why most men have dry, cracked hands that no one wants to touch. Be a saviour with Upstate Stock's Ragg Wool gloves. Ragg wool is naturally water repellent and wicks snow away and the cuff hems are serged with an elastic thread to help retain cuff shape even after washing. If he already has gloves, does he stuff his hard-earned cash into a down-and-out wallet? Seeking to equip you with a vessel more worthy of your wages, DW Leatherworks offers a few alternatives with their slim wallet

Boyfriend/Husband: The Outclass jersey-knit Turtleneck is the perfect mix of sporty and smart. As well as being cut in a comfortable fit from a 100% Merino wool Italian yarn, it features two-by-one rib cuffs and waistband and a split hem. Or perhap you'd like to focus on the bottoms, in which case opt for The Slims Casual Trouser from 18 Waits. Soft yet rugged, these are perfect for dressing up or dressing down and feature clean design details.

Dad: January is downright depressing. Same dreary weather with nothing to look forward to. Give the gift of warmth with a great flannel shirt from Portuguese Flannel. Their fabrics are rigorously brushed through only traditional processes resulting in durability and incomparable softness. Or perhaps he'd prefer some rugged yet modern pants? Made in America from military grade 8.5 oz ripstop cotton, the Stan Ray Navy Fatigue Pants are resistant to tearing and ripping.

Yourself!: It's nice to treat yourself once and awhile. One of our seasonal favourites this season, the Shaggy Utility Workshirt from 3sixteen comes in a mid-weight Japanese coarse weave flannel...but don't blame us when your significant other steals it from you. Another great shirt this season is the Kestin Hare Micas Overshirt. Cut from a Japanese double faced, brushed cotton, it features the reverse of fabric on the sleeves, collar and cut & sew yoke creating a tonal contrast in colour and texture.
