Workwear Chore Jacket - Wool Herringbone Khaki/Black

Still cut and sewn in France using the same traditional methods and materials, this hardy jacket, with its cold-cutting virgin wool-blend fabric, is the perfect coat to welcome the dip in temperature. Since it’s unlined, it allows for garments to be worn underneath. It hides an interior breast pocket and the straight hem and regular fit ensure you won’t feel constricted if/when you happen to wear a thick button-down with it. The jacket has been built impeccably well from a heavyweight cotton/linen mix.

The chore jacket was originally a garment worn by farmhands during chilly mornings on the job. The boxy number had the look of a loose fitting shirt, only it was heavier and more durable, making it ideal for layering and fighting off the elements. Today, many menswear designers have taken the work jacket, given it a trim and a bit of fine-tuning, and released a more style-focused version. Vetra still cuts and sews their garments in France using the same traditional methods and materials they did many years ago.
