The 0306-82IE from MOMOTARO is sewn using a  sanforized denim that features an uncharacteristically high amount of slub texture, made possible through a low-tension weave style coupled with US Cotton. The denim sports a classic indigo colour that will fade to a vintage blue with wear. For the iconic "Going to Battle" (GTB) stripes, MOMOTARO has used vintage embroidery machines. This raised texture will become enhanced with time and fade beautifully. This embroidered detail is made with grand indigo dyed threads. Other classic details include pink selvedge and inseam, both of which serve as an homage to the peach in the original "Momotaro" folktale. The "Going to Battle" stripes are a symbol of Japanese tradition representing honor and strength. The warrior stripes also represent the flag carried by "Momotaro" in the folklore story.

MOMOTARO's "Tight Tapered" fit is a very slim and modern tapered fit. The waist is true to size, with a low rise, slim thighs, and a strong taper throughout the leg.

Designed as an ultra-wearable indigo denim, these features a classic deep indigo colour that will fade to a vintage blue with wear. Loaded with signature MOMOTARO  details, including the iconic battle stripes as well as pink selvedge and inseam, both of which serve as an homage to the peach in the original "Momotaro" folktale. This "Ultimate Pima" is raw cotton of the Sea Island species organically grown in the U.S.A. The growing period is one month longer than the Upland species and has a lower yield per area than the Supima species. Sea Island Cotton, also known as “black seed” or “Gossypium barbadense”, boasts a unique set of characteristics that places it above other species. At 36/37mm, the staple yarn is extra-long and is super fine in texture. It also has a significant brightness of 3.1 to 3.4 Micronaire (which measures the permeability of the cotton fibres when compressed). This special installment features a rich beige coloured weft designed to yield a rustic "dirty fade" with continued wear. The fabric is stiff and rigid and widely praised for its fading colour and character.
